The Utimaco Atalla AT1000 is a high-performance payment hardware security module designed to protect cryptographic keys, payment credentials and sensitive transaction data.

Supports remote configuration and key-management operations through the PCI PTS KLD-certified Utimaco C3 and Secure Configuration Assistant for Windows.

Multi-tenant architecture

Includes ten independent partitions, allowing organisations to isolate applications, master keys, security policies and administrative access within a single HSM.

EMV and payment-card processing

Supports major payment-card functions including Mastercard CVC and CVC3, Visa CVV and DCVV, American Express CSC and Expresspay, Discover DCVV and Visa cloud-based payments.

Comprehensive key management

Supports symmetric and asymmetric key management, including TR-31, TR-34, AES and TDES DUKPT, X9.17 and legacy RSA keying protocols.

Flexible cryptographic support

Supports AES, RSA, DES and Triple DES encryption, digital signatures, message authentication, PIN verification and EMV-based smart-card operations.

Open integration

Provides TCP/IP sockets, TLS sockets and a REST API. No Utimaco host-side software is required, simplifying integration, capacity expansion, load balancing and HSM replacement.

Payment-security compliance

Certified to FIPS 140-3 Level 3 and PCI PTS HSM v3, with support for PCI DSS, PCI PIN and TR-31 Key Blocks. Its physical design is compliant with FIPS 140-2 Level 4 requirements.

Resilient hardware security

Features a tamper-responsive 1U appliance, dual redundant power supplies, a double-locking bezel, Medeco pick-resistant locks and NIC bonding to help remove single points of failure.

Flexible deployment options

Available for on-premises deployment or through Utimaco’s managed Payment HSM-as-a-Service model.
